| pARTicipate2004 Convention Highlights Are Now Available! |
More than 1,200 colleagues at the local, state, and national levels united to create a national arts action agenda detailing strategies on how organizations can use the arts to engage individuals in building communities. Participants included arts administrators, board members, commissioners, educators, artists, funders, public officials, and advocates dedicated to using the arts as a community-building tool. We all joined together because we know the arts are essential to creating more livable communities. Now, we must excite the public to join our effort!
We invite you to review what took place during the convention and what
is happening now that it is over. Our convention wrap up
includes summaries of breakout sessions and a draft of
the convention report (available now
for comment), information on the Americans for the Arts
and the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies annual
awards, the provocative Animating Democracy Civic Dialogue sessions,
a review of Arts
on the Hill Day, view the photo
gallery, and so much more!
We hope you find this information valuable as you return to your communities and work to make them vibrant, inclusive, and economically prosperous!
