COMMUNITY SESSION TOURS

Brooklyn: Eastern Parkway/Prospect Park

The Brooklyn Museum of Art—the second largest art museum in the United States—will present two education programs that revolve around exhibitions, audiences, and teaching methodologies. In the first, Museum educators will demonstrate strategies for introducing first-time elementary-school visitors to themes in the permanent collection galleries. In the second, you will tour the special exhibition Leon Golub with a museum educator and a teenage volunteer who will discuss techniques for preparing young adults to serve as gallery guides. Participants will have the choice to further explore the Museum, and visit the Brooklyn Botanic Garden or the Brooklyn Public Library.
