"What have you done for me lately?"

That’s a question that often confronts united arts fund leaders. The parallel question of "How can I better serve my community, the arts, and my donors?" is one that we UAF leaders ask ourselves on a daily basis. Are we doing all we can to build community awareness of the value of the arts? How do we define our leadership role, and will we need to reinvent ourselves to be effective and instrumental in the ongoing development of the cities and neighborhoods in which we work and live? If we are to stay relevant—if we are to meet the demand being put upon us—we must cultivate new leaders who understand the role of a united arts fund and work to evolve as a model that remains effective.

During this meeting, more than 75 participants met with peers and heard from outside experts to help answer these and other questions.
